There are two ways to update your GoPro HERO12 Black. 1. Use GoPro Quik mobile app. Manual update. The first method is the recommended one, and it’s the most convenient. It’s the method I use most often in updating my GoPro cameras. The manual update is useful if you need to roll back to a previous version.
Updating via GoPro App (easiest) On camera: Swipe down (from top to bottom) on the Touch Display. Select “Connections”. Select “Connect New Device”. Open GoPro App on your mobile phone. iOS. Tap camera icon at top left of screen. Tap “+ Add Device” at bottom of screen. Select your camera model and follow prompts.
Insert your SD card into your computer and find the root level of your SD card. Download the update files here. In Finder, go to your downloads, unzip the downloaded file, and look for the folder, UPDATE. Copy the unzipped UPDATE folder. In your Finder window, go to your SD card and paste the UPDATE folder in an open space.
